PostDoc postion: Towards large scale dynamical models of biological systems - Extending the Data2Dynamics modeling framework

PostDoc or Ph.D. Position

The division "Data Analysis and Modeling of Dynamic Processes in the Life Sciences" at the Institute of Physics, University of Freiburg, Germany, invites applications for the position of a postdoc or a highly qualified Ph.D. student.

The position is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research ''Computational Life Science'' initiative.

In the project ''Towards large scale dynamical models of biological systems - Extending the Data2Dynamics modeling framework'', the appointee will extend and apply the modeling framework Data2Dynamics for/to large scale dynamical models of biological systems. We offer an interdisciplinary research environment with numerous collaboration partners on the biological/clinical side.

The successful candidate has:

knowledge in numerics, statistics and dynamical systems
excellent programming skills, in matlab and C++
experience in conducting interdisciplinary projects with biologists/clinicians
high communication skills

Payment: according to E13 for the postdoc position, salary for the Ph.D. position depends on qualification.

The position is available from April 1st, 2019, and lasts for three years. Recruiting will be continued until the position is filled.
